favets’ chapel

Right in the central area of the cloister the Puríssima Concepció brotherhood built the so called Favet’s Chapel, in a Neo-Classicism style. Although it seems, in archeological terms, to have its origins at the 15th century the current building is from the beginning of the 19th century.

It has rectangular floor plan and polygonal apse, with a dome-relieved roof. During the excavation works of this area it was discovered an interesting stratigraphy of funerary kind from the first period of the Middle Ages until the 19th century.
